Now I am not a relationship expert or a relationship counsellor. I am just a normal British guy who wants to make a success out of my marriage. In my business life I am a webmaster of various websites offering amongst others a DVD duplication service, offering web promotion tips and I also run a specialised stuttering treatment course (I have overcome a stutter which had affected my life, in a negative way, for eighteen years).
A great husband is somebody who is loving, caring and loyal. No trust often leads to no relationship. This trust is something that must be without doubt allowing our wife to feel a sense of security.
Where there are children that have been born from the relationship then the husband should be supportive and loving towards these siblings. I am thinking here of those dads who just go to the pub each night or spend every minute of the day working. Financial security is important however having a father who is “there” is also of utmost importance.
Loving and romantic are the next words that spring to mind when thinking of the required characteristics of a good husband. The odd bunch of flowers bought for no particular reason, a diamond perhaps, these ideas are what can keep that passion alive. Why not write her a love letter or tell her you love her on a more regular basis? Come on guys, you can do it.
Finally before I bore you all completely the last idea from my list is that a decent husband needs to be a good listener. As men we are fully aware of just how much women love to chat, chatting about their family, their friends or their career. Even though you may have absolutely no interest in these subjects try your best to listen!
